UPSC ESE Exam pattern: There are 5 papers in total conducted for the selection of the candidates.

Applicant must hold a Engineering Degree in relevant discipline from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institutions or passed Sections A and B of the Institution Examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India) or passed Graduate Membership Examination
